Property is gorgeous and the staff and guests are both laid back and friendly. Spring for a massage as they are affordable and excellent. Food was great with many options for varied diets. I don’t drink alcohol and really appreciated the delicious mocktail menu. We are a married couple traveling without our kids, but the facility is child- and baby-friendly and all children we saw there were remarkably well-behaved. Our cabana was gorgeous with a great mattress. We loved lazing on the porch with its comfy hammock. We didn’t spend time at the pool with the ocean right there, but it was clean and a comfortable temperature. The property arranged multiple drivers for us, and they were extremely punctual (even in the very early morning) and well worth the cost. Maximo drove us to the waterfalls and dropped us at our next hotel in Puerto Plata afterward, and he was great. Highly recommend!

It's literally a treehouse but with all amenities: shower, toilets, comfy and large bed equipped even with a mosquito net. The roof is made traditionally (sort of leaves of some plants / trees) and they have thought at practically all details to make the decor harmonious. Due to the proximity to the sea (at most 10 meters), it was never too hot. But it's "noisy" with the waves. The waves are monotone and my partner didn't have problems to sleep, for me I needed earplugs. It's not really a complaint, but a consideration. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast served at the hotel was really good. They also have a very good restaurant for lunch / dinner The beach is virtually private: the area is gated so the beach is shared only by the guests of this hotel and of the other (small) hotels nearby. We have never seen more than a handful of people sharing the whole beach. Also quality wise, it's ranking within the best beach we've seen in DR, and clearly ahead of the ones in Cabarete / Sosua.
