The rooms themselves were very cool. The whole place seemed like it was beautiful and cool 5 years ago, and no one cares anymore. Perhaps it was because the owner was out of town, it felt like those left in charge didn't care for the place.

Really wonderful place. Kibayo offers a little zen just about a comfortable distance away from all the hustle and bustle from the town. Offers a community-type of vibe with a small pool, common kitchen and a lagoon right next to it. Hosts are lovely and welcoming here Really great experience.

Steps from the beach and several restaurants, but far from the rest of town. It wasn't a problem for us, but it might be for some although there are plenty of guaguas that go by. As the name implies, lots of kite surfers from different countries.

They hustle you for payment at the end. Make sure you check your towels with the housekeeper or they will claim they are not there and charge you

Cabarete has a laid-back feel that is perfect for an easygoing vacation. The waves are fun the play in and the water/wind sports are fun and colorful to watch. Getting around is easy by walking. High tide will make some of the beach walking a challenge if you are too far down the beach, but still doable.

Cabarete has a very different atmosphere than other parts of Dominican Republic. It is a surfer town with a very relaxed energy. You find good restaurant options (fresh fresh cafe, gorditos fresh mex, la casita de papi, mojito bar, belgium bakery, vagamundo coffee, friend’s, ojo club), some shops, fun relaxed night life and there is a nice enough beach with bars, restaurants and kite and windsurf rentals/schools. It is quite a small town so staying here for a longer time could become boring if you don’t do day trips to other areas near by. I travel a lot to the DR and always enjoy staying 3-5 days in the area because of the nice restaurant and relaxed surfer vibes and the change to another part of the country to continue my vacation.

Lots of shops with a variety of goods along main street (busy so careful crossing). Bars & restaurents were excellent! Good entertainment, lots of expats in town and along the beach. Dominicans are friendly and helpful.
As elsewhere, stay with the crowds if out at night. Stay on the beaten track. I walked all over during the day, A small nieghbourhood bar was a great stop on a hot afternoon.

Compliments to the helpful and pleasant staff.
Compliments to the helpful and pleasant staff. Extra cudos to Senior Santos, Jennifer, the security team and maintenance crew that made me feel very welcome. It suited me for a quiet space to decompress and enjoy some reflection time. I would highly recommend this property for couples and solo travelers. The local residents were also kind and pleasant to mingle with.
Thank you all again, I plan to return next year.
Cheers, Chris from Canada.

Great for foreigners, it has a budget for everyone in terms of restaurants, accommodation, and things to do. It is about a 4-hour drive from Santo Domingo. The beaches are nice and the water is warm. I would highly recommend staying here.

Some problem in the begin because they cant find my reservation, no matter show the reservation in my phone, also in my email and they still discussing, but after they fixed, everything going very well. Was very grateful because when they did the mistake, they give to us a spectacular suite i front the beach and the swiming pool. Was super
Beautiful condo overlooking a spectacular beach. We loved the full kitchen with expreso maker, coffee maker and all the amenities. Various lounge area outside for tropical napping and the afternoon breezes were splendid. barely needed to use the A/C. The staff onsite were super friendly and attentive. We made a lot of new friends at the beachfront pool / bar, the vibes here are so great. Cabarete town is only 5 minutes away! Perfect location. High security, fast internet, truly a dream vacation spot. We will be back!!
In the middle of Cabarete. On the beach. I was there with my brother for kitesurfing.
Stumble right out of your room onto the beach. Pump up the kites and go.
We each had our own room. Very clean. Made up everyday. We didn't have the rooms with a view by choice . But I hardly spend time in the room.
The food at the restaurant Serenade was great. The people were super friendly. As well as the people from the Ion club.
A week was too short 😎😊
Design of my room, the architecture of the buildings, the landscaping & the location. Water was always warm with good pressure for showers. Very tranquil day or night. Beach towel avail, room cleaned daily, safe in room, mesh on windows & sliding door to keep bugs out. Good a/c though I hardly used it. Mini fridge with bottle opener attached. Towels & washcloths provided. I would stay here again & can recommend this Cabarete hotel.
Ok
Their private beach was exceptional... So happy, they took the time on cleaning it. The place in general was quite and inviting to relax. Except for some in the restaurant the rest of the personal, including front desk and security were courteous and diligently. They count with a safe parking that we appreciated cause the neighborhood to get into the hotel is not the most pleasant. Wishing them the best with their business.
GREAT apartment !
right on the beach
Very helpful and attentive owner. Super helpful and accomodating.
A/C first class
2 Balconies overloooking the sea.
NICE swimmning pool!
Right next to La Mesa Taina resto and bar so coffee, food and drinks are super close and also on the beach!
Perfect spot for kite surfing plus there's a large garden with grass and water to wash your gear after your session
The Kaoba has been totally renovated. The former owner sold the hotel to some people who now really care about the facilities and the service. The difference is very noticeable. The rooms are now cleaner, total change of the rooms, the bathrooms and the pool area. The staff very attentive and also renovated. And the same price continues. I will definitely be back.
This is , spacious floor room in a luxury hotel with a patio overlooking the pool, beach and ocean. There wasn’t a kitchen but the microwave, coffee pot and frig amply met my needs. The restaurant has great food at reasonable prices. You can walk everywhere. It’s very safe. Lovely furnishings and bath. And an Infinity pool. No maid service but I didn’t need it.
Amazing swimming pool and the surrounding area. Lovely and very quiet, though in the center great location, just 50 meter from the beach. The staff was super friendly, especially the guys from reception and the bartenders. The staff are highly qualify to make your vacation complete.
I would like to come back in this hotel, good value for its price
The quality of the breakfast for being free was really nice. The location was spectacular. Nothing like hanging out at the pool with the ocean crashing 10 feet away. The ability to just walk for hours on the beach without having to travel anywhere was beautiful.
The location is great. Close enough to walk to the beach and located in a quiet area away from the main part of Cabarete. The breakfast was a cool, hostel style and the pools are a great way to relax in the sun.
Christiane and Lothar are great hosts who are kind, helpful, and very customer service-oriented. The location was also very safe and private, and close to the beach, Cabarete and Sosua.
I have stayed at this property many times and I love it. The staff is very friendly, the location is fantastic and it is my favorite place to stay in the Dominican Republic!
Everything was great. One of the best hotels that I have stayed in the DR. Solius is great too - nothing is too much trouble for him. A real gentleman and a hard worker too.
Great stylish place which only a short scroll away from the surf beach that is still had the „old Cabarete“ atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff, great food!
Great staff , quite location , everything as per describe . Staying here for a second time . If you look for budget place in Cabarete this is the right choice
