Lovely friendly and old fashioned atmosphere. Staff couldn’t do enough for us. Room was spacious and clean with a small veranda overlooking the pool and glimpses of Hamilton Harbour. Really enjoyed the walk-in shower. Pastries and a fresh fruit platter were delivered every morning as part of the room rate. Very close to #8 bus and Lindo’s supermarket and pharmacy. Also close to Four Star Pizza. Food in the dining room was amazing.

Part of the hotel is renovated and I initially had a not renovated room. I couldn't open the windows of the room. When I complained I got a different room looking more towards the street and air conditioning engines which were loud during the night. At 699 $ the night totally below expectations!

Plenty of places to eat on the front.
Plenty of places to eat on the front. Selection of expensive and touristy shops. Bus terminal for buses to take you all over the island. Ferry terminal to take you to Dockyard and on to St. George's.

I booked this hotel because of their beach, and I was right!
I booked this hotel because of their beach, and I was right! The beach is absolutely fantastic.I would add a ferry between both Fairmont hotels, and maybe a couple of ferries from the hotel marina around Bermuda, but i would be just a little cherry on the icing on the perfect cake

Too many changes since years ago.
Too many changes since years ago.
Not to the benefit of friendly locals.
With the wealth of foreign investment, local business appears non-existent now too commercialised and rent for locals is sky-high.

The island is extremely expensive especially if you are visiting from America. A appetizer cost between 12-16 dollars and everything goes up from there. The locals are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Due to the dockyard the island is geared more towards tourists then its own people. I’d say this island is definitely for family vacation or business purposes only.

Pleasant city, which unfortunately clears out at night.
Pleasant city, which unfortunately clears out at night. Good restaurants and shopping. Excellent base to explore the entire island using the local bus system. Very nice waterfront, good facilities (public toilets, water refill stations). Pedestrian friendly. And the people are terrific -- polite, friendly, helpful. But it is pricey.
We visited between Christmas and New Years so Bermudas beautiful beaches were not a priority for us. The location of the Hamilton Princess was perfect; in the town of Hamilton, close to the ferry dock, restaurants and shops and central on the island for trips to the north or south end.
The staff were all fabulous - helpful, friendly and efficient. We had no problem with the added daily gratuity of $39 on the room charge or the 17% added everywhere.
The food was ok, regular big hotel fare, except at Intrepid, which was fabulous.
Location is very good, in a quiet situation on the southern edge of Hamilton, within 5 to 10 minutes walk of the ferry terminal, shops, banks, bus station, post office, restaurants, churches, City Hall and the Queen Elzabteh Park.
A useful convenience shop is situated opposite this 12-room guest house.
All the staff were superb - most welconming and very helpful.
It was also nice to see and hear the young children enjoying themselves in the nursery next door.
Daily room service pancakes & maple syrup, coffee, and fresh orange. The bar and restaurant area under the awning is a very pleasant place to while away a leisurely dinner.
The hotel is next to the oddly-named but much fun car hire of Twizy. A very Bermudian experience well recommended.
A little of British history cheek by jowl with American modernity. Bermuda is wonderful if a little expensive.
In a great location for the Railway Trail, Shelly Beach and seeing fabulous sunsets. A short ride to Hamilton and St Georges. It had everything I needed for my 15 day stay. The owners are very helpful and great hosts. They put me in touch with Jimmy the taxi driver who is extremely reliable and an excellent driver
We were delightfully surprised by our last-minute accommodation at the Oxford House. We unexpectedly had to stay another night in Bermuda (oh darn, right?) and the staff could not have been more welcoming, and the bed extremely comfortable. We appreciated the cozy conditions and assistance from staff throughout.
The accommodations were clean and comfortable. Lana was very friendly and helpful. The location was great as it was just a short walk to restaurants and shopping in Hamilton. We would recommend the Egdehill to anyone looking for clean, comfortable, convenient, and friendly accommodations.
Lovely quiet hotel just a few minutes walk from the centre of the town. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendlier. I've stayed in a few different hotels in Bermuda and this one is definitely top of my list and will stay there again on my next visit.
Great value. Apartments are huge. They provided a beach bag with towels and you could take an umbrella
Tip: make sure you have a way to get around the island - get bus tokens (or coins in local currency) or rent a scooter.
Wonderful warm and cosy hotel with beautiful grounds! Especially liked the 5 pm Happy Hour in the lounge! And Bally took very good care of me at breakfast!
